The street was blocked tonight by the biggest snake I have ever seen. A neighbour was directing traffic around it and as I was driving a heavy vehicle he suggested that I run over it.

I did.

Five times.

It died.

That was a big snake, but the most frightening thing tonight was when I opened the front door and fumbled for the light switch and a little gecko decided to scramble up the wall.
